displaying jpg files in preview as coarse grain

Suddenly, Bridge is displaying jpg files in preview mode with a coarse grain, while dng and psd files remain fine.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on? It is still working correctly on my wife's PC, but I cannot find any difference in the settings...
