images on SD cards no longer appear when trying to import/cull in Bridge

Tried multiple SD cards, all of them say “no files items to display” when I open Bridge to try to cull images from each card. I tried restarting the computer and tried a photo uploader but neither fixed the problem.

all of the cards have worked in the past, never had this issue. they’re all formatted and camera body is the same. it’s the R6. i do believe the camera has an update available that i haven’t installed yet

Is there a possibility of trying the cards in a different camera (even borrow one from a friend perhaps) for that would rule out certain possible culprits?

How are you trying to read the card? Is it still in your camera? If so that's not the best idea. Use a quality card reader. Copy files onto your internal drive, using Bridge's Photo Downloader or your OS and backup before doing anything else.

I use a card reader. Never imported with a cable while the card is still in camera.

Well that’s good to hear but doesn’t help with your problem!

So quite a few unknowns here:

You say you have used multiple cards. Did they work in the past?

Using the same camera? Which is it by the way?

Have you tried using a different camera?

Have you tried examining the cards’ contents using your OS? Which is it by the way?

I have to say that I have not experienced this problem and I have no issue downloading files from SD cards using Adobe Bridge’s Photo Downloader. So there is something amiss either with your system or your procedure. If you can give more full details it will help.
