In Adobe Bridge on macOS, right-clicking an image thumbnail intermittently opens the context menu and immediately closes it before I can select an option. Right-click works normally in other apps.

I’m experiencing inconsistent right-click behavior in Adobe Bridge. When I right-click an image thumbnail, the context menu sometimes stays open normally, but other times it appears briefly and immediately disappears before I can select a command. This makes right-clicking feel very touchy and unreliable.

This issue started well over a month ago, although I can’t pinpoint the exact date. I’m using a Logitech MX Master 4, and right-click works normally elsewhere in macOS and in other applications. The problem only occurs in Bridge.

I’ve already tried:

  • Resetting Bridge preferences.
  • Manually deleting Bridge preference files.
  • Downloading and reinstalling Bridge.
  • Resetting the mouse preferences and reinstalling Logi Options+.

The issue started on my previous Mac. I initially suspected the mouse, but since I was about to upgrade my computer, I dealt with it until the new machine arrived.

The same problem now persists on my new Mac Studio, despite a fresh installation of macOS and all applications. Nothing was migrated or restored from a Time Machine backup.

My current setup:

  • Adobe Bridge: 16.0.8.10
  • macOS: Golden Gate 27.2
  • Mac: Mac Studio, Apple M5 Ultra, 96 GB memory
  • Mouse: Logitech MX Master 4
  • Logi Options+: 2.9.994631
