Just open a previously added file. Not helpful to say only: "previously added". OPEN THE FILE.
Will you please fix this multiyear problem that a user can not re-open a file that was previously "edited" in Lightroom. All that happens is a message: "Previously added". As if this is the point of Lightroom ... adding files.
As a result of this message, the user now has to figure out the date, and then go pawing through Lightroom Library, where there could be hundreds of similar photos from that day in the Library. It's a timeconsuming waste of time. 5 minutes.
Why would a user want to "edit" a photo again? Adjust the color. Re-crop. All kinds of reasons.
Just open the photo. Previous "edit" or settings applied is fine! JUST OPEN THE FILE. It's what the user wants to do. Re-edit. OPEN THE FILE. Lightroom knows where the file is in the Library. OPEN THE FILE.
Yes, I know there is no such thing as destructively "editing" a photo in Lightroom. It is not helpful to turn this report into a discussion that Lightroom doesn't "edit" photos. Everyone calls it "editing". Stay with what the actual problem is here. A user can not just open a previously added file. The user has to fish for it in the library and it's an awful waste of time when Lightroom knows where the file is and just plain open it in half a second.
