P: Bridge does not recognize embedded color profile in webp files

Hi. I have an issue with Photoshop (Mac OS Sequoia 15.6). My version 26.9.0 is not embedding the color profile as it should as i save the photo in webp file (Save As with option to embed color profile). When i see the file in Bridge it says "color profile untagged". It does not happen with tiff, png and jpeg files, just with webp.

Sameer, my Bridge is 15.1.1.729.

But tell me something that i don't understand. I see that Bridge is not "reading" the color profile in the file but why does it happen in Google Drive? When i see the photo in Google drive i see the wrong colors too (only the webp files).

@Ithinky

What @Sameer K is looking for is the Bridge version, not Photoshop.

It's the first thing I mentioned... 😉

@Jeff Arola - I tried with various combinations of all three checkboxes. Regardless, the profile is in the file, but not recognised by Bridge, while it is recognised by other apps.

Hi, @Ithinky and our experts! Thanks for the report and for boiling it down to Bridge. I've moved the thread to Bridge (bugs) and shared it with the team for review.

What versions of the operating systems and Adobe Bridge are you working on? Does this issue appear when you use Bridge (beta)?

Thanks!

In the WebP Options do you have Include XMP Metadata and Include EXIF Metadata checked?

Google drive is just storage. How they're displayed is down to your web browser.

Still, that only confirms there is a problem somewhere.

I think Photoshop embeds the color profile in the webp but not the same way some other apps do. It reads the profile correctly but not Bridge and google.

Export As does not export in webp files. (Not in my photoshop...)
