ps 25 is invoked instead of 26

I installed photoshop 26, set at Bridge/preferences/applications to invoke it and yet when I open a dng file from bridge - camera-raw of photoshop 25 is invoked; the icon of photoshop 26 at the bottom taskbar remains minimized and another expanded icon of photoshop 25 is added there. I have W11.

You can remove any Adobe applications such as Bridge using the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop application.

An easy way to open that is from within one of the Adobe programs by going to Help>Updates.

If you want to remove older versions of Bridge then unistall the newest and the older versions, then reinstall Bridge 2026.

Thanks. My problem was that I invoked Bridge 25 and not 26.

I haven't succeeded yet to delete the 24 version.

In Bridge have looked at Edit>Preferences>File Type Associations to see if DNG files are set to open in Photoshop 2026?
