Slow, doesn't respond immediately to exit, freezes

While using it, I noticed that it handles images slowly, sometimes it freezes during use. When exiting, clicking on the red X reacts slowly, it exits the program after 5-10 seconds, in worse cases it freezes. I hoped that these problems would be fixed, but I don't see any significant progress in this area. Please fix the errors. Simple free image management and viewing programs work faster with images. Please study competing programs.
