      Is this with an external USB webcam or internal (e.g., on a laptop)?
      Dimmer lighting conditions can impact how well the face tracking can locate facial features.
      Also, is the problem happening all the time or ocassionally? Check for any other resource-intensive applications that might also be running at the same time.
