Can't create new project in folder other than "Documents"

Unable to create a new project in any folder other than Documents. The Documents folder doesn't work as a project location at my company because they have it as a shortcut folder to our network drives which has file locking security that cannot be bypassed. This causes new projects to only get half created due to the locking and scanning taking place while new files are being created. One work around we've found is to sign completely out of character animator with a session already open and this seems to cause the files to migrate but the success is hit or miss and is not 100% effective. Why can't New Project location be selected rather than only defaulting to an unusable location for our corporate environment?

When you create a brand new project, Adobe, by default generates the folder and files it needs in the Documents folder (we are on MS Windows). There is no way to change that in the preferences for CA. It would be better if it popped open a dialog box and asks where you want your project created.

My work around is to disconnect from wi-fi/network. This allows CA to generate the files to my documents folder with no interference from the automated security protocol at our company. I can then move it to a project folder where it has no issues.

You should be able to save your project anywhere on your local drive. What errors (if any) are you getting when you attempt to move away from the documents folder?
