Character animator says "Waiting for Camera" and doesn't play my mic's audio

I have been on with Adobe and Windows for HOURS. Neither of them has been able to solve this problem. When I open Character Animator, the camera square just says 'Waiting for Camera.' The camera is working in every other program outside of Adobe. The microphone is also not working. I've done a repair install for Windows 11, and everything is up to date. I've checked my other computer, and the program is working just fine. Something is going on with this one in particular. I'm very close to doing a fresh install, though I'd like to avoid it if at all possible.

Website will not allow me to edit my comment. The app shows my iMac camera is the default and is listed as the selected camera. So it "sees" my iMac3 camera.
