Character animator v23.1, I'm getting a git exception when I try to create or open a new project.

Sorry for the inconvenience, that's a known issue in 23.1 that has been fixed in the latest beta and should be fixed in the next release as well. It usually only happens when creating projects on network or external drives (the error is caused by overly cautious file ownership checks that are sometimes thrown off in those situations), so you may be able to work around it by creating the project on your C drive. The current beta uses the same project format as 23.1, so I think you could also try using that until the next release comes out.
