Compute Head Movement from Speech Unusable

Whenever I try to use Head Movement from speech it distorts the head in weird ways instead of smoothly moving it. It just instantly jumps to random weird broken looking versions every few seconds.

additionally the movement has no smoothing whatsoever and just immediately jumps to positions no matter what properties i change.
