error Ch 25.0x46 on file .arf

Hello,

I’m unable to use Adobe Character Animator—I keep getting error Ch 25.0x46.

 

I uninstalled it and installed an earlier version, but the same error persists.
I also deleted the following folders:

C:\Users\<your_name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Character Animator\25.0
C:\Users\<your_name>\AppData\Local\Adobe\Character Animator\25.0\MediaCache
That made no difference. I even updated the earlier version to the 2025 release—again, same issue.

I've already try holding SHIFT, but it doesn't work, i've still the same error.

I am not sure if this is being caused by the program trying to open the last project you were using and now cannot find it. One thing you can try to bypass that is by holding down the SHIFT key while launching the program. Let us know if that works.
