error in Ch version 23.6x58. The Photoshop file operation failed. Reason (-1)

I am getting this error message when I try and rig a photoshop file. It is a puppet that has been rigged before but the rigging disappeared from the puppet and when I try to go to the rigging screen I get this message:

error in Ch version 23.6x58

The Photoshop file operation failed. Reason (-1)

I can open the file without any problem in Photoshop itself.

 

Does anyone have any idea what this means? I cannot find a reference to it anywhere.

I am using version 23.6 Build 58 of Character Animator.

I am working on a Mac mini M1 OS 13.5.2 with 16GB of memory

I have resolved this by re-creating another CH file with the same puppet and now I can rig it but I cannot export the scene through ME I have to create a green screen and use quick export to be able to get an MP4.
