Importing .ai puppets brings up an Internal error code

I have worked with the same puppet for nearly 2 years now with no problems. Then, last Friday, opening the puppet brings up an Internal error code.

I have tried upgrading Character Animator, switching from normal to Beta, unistalling and reinstalling, starting a new project, creating a new puppet and leaving and coming back after a few days. I am still getting this error and don't know how to solve this problem.
