Hi,

when I quit my session on Character Animator, I alwas save my file.

But when I want to open the file again, I cant open it anymore. I can see the file in the explorer but the file size is 0 kb. I get  this two error warning messages. Its sad because I alwas have to start from the beginning with my projekt.

Can you tell me what I can do better not to loose all the work?

Lots of greatings

Simona

That worked for me. I have ported it to an internal SATA drive, but it still didn't work. When I followed your advice and deleted the temp directory, all is good with the world. Thank you!

Update for those who might come here because of a similar message. The error turned out to be related to errors accessing files in the temp.noindex directory which was causing a failure in loading the scene in the project. It's not 100% clear what was causing them, but it could have been contention with another process accessing files in the same folder (it was a network synchronized folder).

In any case, the solution turned out to be to copy the project to a (purely) local folder and deleting the temp.noindex folder for good measure. Then the project opened again without errors. 😅

Oh, also, the chproj file is usually 0 bytes since the project is a folder structure and that file is just used to find the folder and doesn't have content of its own. Here's hoping with a bit more info, we can get the project open again.

Hi Simona, that error code is unfortunately in code that's hit from a lot of different locations, but I think with a little more detail I might be able to diagnose what's going on here. I'll reach out with a private message with some instructions that might help gather a bit more detail about the error that I can use to try to figure out this puzzle.
