Saving projects

Hello, wy is it that if you simply change the name of the folder where your project is, you loose all your work??

 

Does that make any sense? Saving files is a very simple thing and I feel that Adobe somehow managed to get this very simple thing wrong!!

Thanks for your reply. I think its a bug. When using other software, changing the path of a file used in the video (an audio file for example), results in the application asking you to correct the path where the file is in as soon as you open the application, not stop working as in Adobe Character Animator.

I agree that is annoying and probably because the project file is a 0 byte file. I am not well-versed on that side of things, but I don't hink there is an easy fix.

Yes I am using save as and it saves correctly. But my point is that if you change the folder name or anything in the path of the folder (upper folders containing the folder with the files) then the file opens empty of all the work I have done.

Are you changing the name by using "save as" in CH?
