Won't load character after closing program, had to unistall and reinstall several time, no audio

I have had several problems with this program since I have started using it. Most times when I close the program for the day then reopen it the next the file I was working on it won't recognize the file. I have unistalled and reinstalled the program several times. When I reinstall and open the program it is a 50/50 whether the file works. Most time I have to reimport the AI file which means I have lost all of my rigging. This have become a work flow nightmare. Two steps forward two steps back.

The other issue I am having is when the program is working I cannot hear the audio at all. Not if I am listening/watch a playback after recording, and not if I import a file. I am using many other Adobe products and the audio work on all of them.

I am using a PC, Character Animator version 23.1

This is what I'm getting. You're are kind of speaking over my head. I don't save on my C drive. I have a secondary E drive that I save everything on. I'm using a PC. Where should I save it?

The first part does sound like a folder location issue, though the second part about your audio issue sounds familiar.
I've found that if I'm using a bluetooth headset instead of a wired headset, the audio will often not carry over and remain dedicated to other channels I have open (websites, communication software, etc).  Also if you have multiple audio sources (a computer with speakers or a webcam with a mic) while using a headset, be sure to check your computer's sound settings and make sure the computer's default audio and recording devices match what Ch has assigned for Audio Hardware in Ch preferences.

Yeah, would be curious to know the specific messages you're seeing. It sounds like it's the project that won't open, right? The specific errors should give us some solid clues as to what is going wrong.

Where are you saving the project file out of curiosity? My best guess without the specific messages is that the errors are related to the project being in some kind of synchronized folder or network volume. The newer "rope" based project which have been the default for a while should be more resilient to this, but could still be tripped by a flaky network volume or by a sufficiently aggressive indexing program competing for access to the files (esp on Windows) or by the sort of "virtualized" sync folder like iCloud, Dropbox, and OneDrive sometimes use.

As for the audio, Character Animator uses the same audio recording and playback code shared with Adobe Audition and other video products, so I'm not sure off hand what would make it be unique in that misbehavior. 🤔 🤔

Are you receiving any error messages? What are they?
