Crashing when baking maps (Intel Arc A770)

I noticed when trying to bake out maps (at any res) Painter will crash to desktop w/no error. Even when unchecking the raytracing and live preview options.

My system is an 13th gen i7 with 64Gb of RAM and an Intel Arc A770. When I try the same bake on another system with an nvidia card it works fine.

I've reported it to both Intel and Adobe, but wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing the same issue.

As reported in this thread, it seems the new Intel Arc Beta driver (31.0.101.4499) has resolved the issue.

Hello Adobe,

I am having the same issue with a i5 10400F, 64GB Ram and Arc a770 GPU. Is there any fix or workaround, or solution?

Hi again @Skoles,

To keep you inform, we are investigating at this very moment on the compatibility between intel Arc A770 and Substance 3D Painter. We'll come back at you as soon as we have an answer, but this can take some time.

Thank you very much for the log and your bug report has been received. It will definitely help us during our process !

Have a nice day.

Hi @Skoles,

From what you say, this looks like a problem with the Arc A770 indeed, but let's not rush anything. Could you share with me your log after a crash ? you will find it under:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Adobe\Adobe Substance 3D Painter

This way, we will have more information to investigate. Also, feel free to send a bug report (Help > Report a bug…). Our team can access to a lot more than the log with a bug report.

Best regards,
