Cusom masks breaking after

Custom Masks Breaking after latest Update. Tried reinstalling the old version again, and masks are ok. Have you changed something that affect Custom painted masks? this shouldnt happen since many projects can be destroyed because of it.

I opened my project in new version. but havent painted yet. so dont know if it will break eventually. But it looks fine. before when openeing it it was broken all over. seems like masks are intact. WIll save a 11.01 copy and try to work on it later and see if it works. Looks promising thoo

It's indeed a bug with the current update. We're working on a fix.

I found a thread with someone else having the same issue, and it looks like it was able to be reproduced by a dev.  I still have no idea how auto updates got turned on.  I must have missed that last time I installed cc.

I have started a ticket through work to Push this. Because it breaks projects. I went back to the version before.

I have the same issue.  I loaded a project into the new version, and it looked fine. As soon as I view this hand painted mask it breaks like this.  This project has not been changed in any way.  All I did was open it in the latest version.  I Can't remember which ver it was created in.  This is why I never update in the middle of a project.

It gets worse however. I discoverd the issue when I imported a new version of this mesh.  It's the exact same mesh, with a different blendshape applied. I was using the already created material stack to create a new material for this iteration.  I hand painted a new mask after clearing it, then noticed the mask broke just like this one. These masks were painted in 3d view. Even if I create a new layer, add a new mask, it continues to break.  The lack of response on this issue for two weeks concerns me.  Any help would be appreciated.

In my Project, Custom Masks Breaks or paint layers., Could be layers with projections small handpainted scratches, or masking areas, Custom stuff, I havent noticed yet generators and base stuff break. I think they are fine ,  Its an odd thing, Because it doesnt Break all of it. 
So This is the working version =

 Now i dont want to go back to 11.0 But I can show quick with just drawing, In the new version THis mask Breaks like areas Arent painted anymore. So its almost like  its an unfinished version of it. So it Looks like this as an example, Like someone went in there and Painted Black over the finished white parts. or like its just unfinished. =

Can you provide more info where it is broken? I can't see any problem with mask on my own projects.
