Just updated, and the Path won't edit per vertex. Changes are made to all vertices on path.

Hi,

I was trying out the new path tool yesterday and it was working fine (each vertex was individually editable), except that sometimes clicking on the pen icon wouldn't allow the path tool context menu to appear. If I restart Substance painter, the pen will work for a while before it stops (switching between paint brush, polygon tool and back seems to trigger the issue). I decided to look for updates and updated Substance painter to the latest build.

Now, the vertices all change along the path and not just the ones I've selected. Still having the issue with the pen context menu not being accessable as well.

Not sure what the issue is, but I also didn't see another topic open on it.

Thanks,

I see! Thank you for your reply. I had the pressure toggle turned off, so the pressure slider wasn't having an effect and the size slider changed the whole path. I have a better understanding now.

    Hi @Rebsin,

There are parameters that are editable per vertices (those in the contextual bar), and there are some that are editable for the entire path (the ones in the Properties window).

This is the Path behavior since its release, but if you want to learn more about the feature, please check our dedicated page on the subject.

    Best regards,
