Pen Pressure not working with Huion Tablet Kamvas 20

I'm doing a new thread because following the steps in other threads gave no results and I'm at my wits end. Pen pressure stopped working randomly with no changes made to my settings or hardware on my part. 

- I did uninstall/reinstall both substance and huion drivers. 
- Pen pressure is working in other software like photoshop. Pen pressure is working in the pressure test window of the huion settings. This confirms it's a substance issue. 
- Windows ink is activated. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I can't work reliably with substance i'm going to have to move to another painting package and I don't want to.
