Plug-ins menu is empty

Hi. The plug-ins menu in my just installed (Steam) version of Substance Painter 9 for both JavaScript and Python is empty, except for the entries Reload plug-in, and plug-in folder, which when clicked does nothing.

I can't see any of the actual plugins listed like in https://helpx.adobe.com/substance-3d-painter/interface/main-menu/plugins-menu.html

I've tried reinstalling onto both my C and F drives. I did have the 2022 version installed previously and some of its settings have carried across. Not sure what is going on?

Thanks @Cyril Dellenbach

I've sorted this now and it's all working.

in case anyone else has the same issue. Essentially, I had folders in the program folder and the document folder for Substance Painter 3d set up for the (non Steam) version 2022 as symlinks or windows junctions, in order to save space on my C drive. This was wreaking havoc with the Steam installation approach, as well as with Nvidia Omniverse connector installation. I also had to figure out how to uninstall connectors from Omniverse which is another topic.

The Omniverse Connector doesn't come natively with Substance 3D Painter and is handled by NVIDIA. You'll find a great tutorial from NVIDIA Omniverse on how to install and use the Plugin here.

Just checked. Even with version 9.0.0 I'm still not seeing the Omniverse connector.

Oh wait - I'm on the beta version. I'll change to regular version and see if that works.

Hi @Cyril Dellenbach
I checked. The files were not there. The folder seemed to be a junction link folder, which I must have set up before and which wasn't working, which I've now removed. On restart the folder now has plugins. Yay!
However, I can't see the Omniverse connector plugin in this list of plugins or in the View menu, so I'm not sure all the plugins are restored?

Hi @RuchirShah,

Thanks for the message.

The Plug-in folder should obviously send you where the Plug-ins are installed. If it doesn't work as expected, you'll find the folder under:

C:\Users\Username\Documents\Adobe\Adobe Substance 3D Painter\plugins

Does the file contain plug-ins or is it empty?

Let me know,
