Substance Painter will use ALL my memory, didn't do this in the previous version and now I get virtual memory issues, and even will crash nvida drivers. nothing but windows and substance painter running. Windows used about 8.5 gb, as soon as you start Substance it goes up to 35gb, and the this is after it loaded the file. The file is 20gb but why does it need an additional 30gb when starting?

I can't replicate that here. Opening painter uses around 1.2GB

    Windows 11 22H2,   Substance Painter v8.2.0, Nvidia RTX3090 Studio driver 516.94

After more investigations and since I am insider Windows 11 preview builds.
I am coming to the conclusion this is a Windows 11 Memory leak issue. cause even after I close down Substance Painter while only working in small file. My resources says I am using 22gb but the processes don't add up.

My apologies for assuming it was Substance Painter, its just such an incredible program and I use it alot.
    Thank you for your time.
    Happy New Year.
