Substance Painter on Steam - Crashes on Startup (MacOS)

Hello!

I am trying to Run Adobe Substance Painter 2025 on my Macbook, through Steam. I have tried everything to make it work yet it continues to crash on the startup.

I have submitted a Log.TXT to see if it can be diagnosed.

    Hey Eric !

Thank you for sharing your crash log! Paul shared with me the information he has! I’m gonna take a look at it.

Also, if you have a pop up appearing at some point for crash report, I strongly advise you to fill it with your e-mail (so we can contact you back). This way, we’ll have a lot more data to understand what happened.

Hi! From the log, Painter starts loading normally but stops when it tries to compile one of its shaders, which looks like a compatibility issue between Painter 2025 and macOS 27.

I’ll pass that along to the Painter team. In the meantime, can you send me the macOS crash report? You should be able to find it in the Console app under Crash Reports. Look for an entry for Adobe Substance 3D Painter from around the time of the crash.

(I’ve removed the image and attachment you posted, just for privacy reasons; I’ve kept those on file, though.)

    Hi there Paul!

I havent been able to find a Console Report for Substance Painter. Tried to restart the app and then Run substance through steam again, but the report does not seem to show up.

Is there any other way to find those reports outside of console?

Alright I managed to run it on the terminal and see how it would behave that way. It spit this out; let me know if this helps Paul!
