Switching to Automatic Cage disables Bake button

I just upgraded to the latest version of SP and wanted to try the Automatic Cage
The moment i enable it the Bake Selected textures gets disabled even though it generates the cage in the preview . After this switching to any of the other Cage options keeps the button disabled , if i close the baking menu and then reopen it with my cage set to Distance Based it keeps the button disabled.
I need to close SP and reopen it for the button to come back as long as it was set to Distance Based.

I do have an error when loading the highpoly , it doesnt seem to be an issue when i baked with Distance Based Cage
[Scene 3D] [GenVertexNormals] : unable to compute normals because some triangles were too small in mesh Head_High1

I have the same problem with latest version and as toggling the "Show for selected texture set only" doesn't work for me, but, as the Teeps user mentioned, it seems that this problem is only appears when you change your meshes and reimport them and like he said, I just leave the bake screen for some minutes and the bake button is coming back by itself. Weired and annoying bug I think.

Have you tried orze's solution of checking this box? It works every time for me now with this checked.

I've tried that suggestion but with no luck.

I'm seeing something similar. Changed the UV layout of my mesh and re-imported. The loading bar is flickering at the bottom of the window and the Bake button is disabled. I've tried everything except re-installing SP at this point. No errors in the log.

I am having this issue consistenly but what seems to trigger it for me is if I use the edit -> re-import mesh option first, then try and bake again it will go grey on me. I have a mesh that needed some slight texture set/UV changes so I was doing refreshes on it and then baking again with new file and that seems to make it go gray. I am saving over my original low poly mesh with same exact name but slight changes which is what I have always done in past.

What is odd is that if I leave the bake window open for a long time it eventually sometimes will come back to having the blue button again to bake... but requires sitting for 10 minutes or so on my end even on a fairly simple mesh and really high level PC.

I had this problem too loading an old file in lastest Painter. The file I opened was ReadOnly ( visuble in the top bar). Saving the file under a new filename remove this Read Only flag and I've been able to Bake again. Hope it help.
