Textures not loading properly

Everytime I open a project, it gets loaded fine and it's possible to see everything clearly. The moment I interact with anything (adding layers, trying to paint, using smart materials, changing texture set list) every texture disappears leaving behind the empty white/gray square checkboard pattern. I already uninstalled and reinstalled 3d painter once and verified the integrity of the files, I updated all my drivers but the problem persists. I don't think it's a hardware related problem as everything worked perfectly fine in the past.

Everything works now, I had to rollback Substance 3D Painter to version 8.3.1.

Through the Creative Cloud desktop app, you can rollback the soft here:

That being said, and considering your GPU, it's worth the try to deactivated the Sparse Virtual Texturing in the General Settings (Edit > Settings > General > Sparse Virtual Texturing).

It all began with some buffering when using the brush tool around the first days of June. 3 weeks ago it  escalated with the textures being blurry and now they don't get loaded. I reckon I would have to rollback to a version prior to whatever update happened in June, but I wouldn't really know how to do that having 3D Painter on Adobe Creative Cloud.

I'm afraid the mentioned GPU is under the minimum requirement for running Substance 3D Painter, so issues like this are unfortunately to be expected.

That being said, it would be interesting to know when the issue started to occur and to consequently roll back Substance Painter version, in order to see if the bug persists

Best regards,

I do have an AMD GPU, a RX 570 to be exact. I tried doing a rollback on the drivers and nothing really changed. This is probably due to the fact that I was able to rollback only once for some reason.

Hi @GnomoFetente ,

Do you have an AMD GPU? If so, the latest drivers have compatibilitie issues with Substance 3D Painter, therefore I advise you to rollback for a previous version.
