Cannot switch between profile on same account

This is an ongoing problem and is really causing me issues. I have a “Personal” profile with Captivate, I have a “Business” profile with Adobe Acrobat. They both use the same email address because that is how the person at my company set up the accounts. Logging in and out would not be an issue, though tedious and annoying (I did see a similar post on this) - but I would do it if I had to- but I can’t even do that. I can ONLY log in to my personal profile at [Personal information removed by moderator.]- but NOT my business profile.

  1. Try to open local Adobe Acrobat or Creative Cloud
  2. It opens with my personal profile only and no choice to switch
  3. I can’t open any PDFs, let alone create forms

I have talked to an Adobe tech before and they “fixed” it temporarily, but it’s doing it again. I have done the below steps:

  1. Close all Adobe processesOpen Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and end every Adobe-related process: Creative Cloud, Captivate, Adobe Desktop Service, Adobe CEF Helper, anything starting with "Adobe" or "Creative Cloud."

  2. 2

Clear AppData identity foldersOpen File Explorer and go to %APPDATA%\Adobe (paste that directly into the address bar). Look for folders named OOBE, IdentityStorage, or anything with "login" or "auth" in the name, and delete just those folders, not the whole Adobe folder.

  3. 3

Clear LocalAppData identity foldersNow go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Adobe (also paste directly into the address bar) and delete the same kind of folders there: OOBE, IdentityStorage, or anything login/auth-related.

  4. 4

Restart your computerThis clears out both cached sessions completely, personal and business, so there's nothing left for Adobe to auto-select from.

  5. 5

Sign in freshOpen Creative Cloud desktop first, before Captivate. It should now show a real sign-in prompt with no pre-filled account. Use "Sign in with a different email address" if it tries to auto-detect, type steph@kamiwaza.ai manually, and watch closely for whether it now offers you a choice between personal and business profiles.

That’s where this is confusing. I have an Enterprise account for Adobe Acrobat, but an individual account for Captivate. I have two email accounts for my company (A and B). At first I thought both accounts were under A with Personal and Work being two profiles that I could not switch between- and actually I do that was happening. So, I asked my Admin to change my Enterprise email (thinking two emails would solve the problem) to B. However, I never heard from her after three escalations- though I think she did it because now I am signing in online with B. The problem is- now I have work and personal profiles on B. But when I try to sign into local with B- it says it doesn’t recognize that account. It DOES recognize the original A email but it ONLY takes me to my personal profile. I have spoken to two different Adobe techs on the phone. The first one just confused me and said he couldn’t do anything but the second one did help me and everything was fine for awhile. I’d just get a choice to change profile when I logged in. But now I have no idea what is going on.
