editing name in file browser closes out file browser without changes - MAC only

I am using a MacBook pro 16" 2021 model with the M1 Pro chip. When I go to save a file and I want to change a specific part of a file name, usually do to versioning, if I use the arrows, backspace or delete keys the file browser closes immedietly without even a change to the file path or name. I use bluetooth keyboard and I can confirm this happens with it and when using the keyboard on the laptop. 

This is across all Adobe products that I used so far which include, After Effects, Premier, Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder, Indesign, Audition, and Premier.  I suspect that all are affected.  

I also use all these same apps on my PC and I don't see the issue so I think this is MAC only.
