fresh install of CC on Mac OS (26.3 (25D2125)) creates invalid CCLibrary.app bundle

Steps to reproduce

Install CC

Post Install

  • CC launches (v6.9.0.618.5)
  • Mac OS popup (CCLibrary) is damaged and can’t be opened shows up (subtext: file was downloaded on an unknown date)

Suspected issue

App bundle contains an invalid symlink

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Creative Cloud Libraries/CCLibrary.app/Contents/js/node_modules/node-thumbnailgenerator/build/Release/AdobeJP2K.framework/AdobeJP2K -> Versions/Current/AdobeJP2K

however Versions/Current is missing; only A exists

Does anyone else observer the same behavior; Is there a fix available despite blindly trusting the bundle - which I won’t do.

    update to the situation

    ran CC uninstaller in repair mode multiple times without success; however, after manually removing (rm -r) CCLibrary.app and rerunning repair the issue appears to have resolved;

    Interestingly repair correctly wrote both paths

    $ pwd

    /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Creative Cloud Libraries/CCLibrary.app/Contents/js/node_modules/node-thumbnailgenerator/build/Release/AdobeJP2K.framework

    $ ls -lah Versions

    total 0

    drwxr-xr-x  5 root  wheel   160B Mar 29 06:05 A

    lrwxr-xr-x  1 root  wheel     1B Mar 29 06:05 Current -> A
