Photoshop will not open, just spinning wheel. MacBook Pro

The last couple of days I cannot get photoshop, or photoshop beta to open.  It begins to load and then just spinning wheel forever.  I've restarted the computer (latest macbook pro) uninstalled and reinstalled the software, not sure what else to do. Worked for months before this and I use it heavily.  Lightroom works, Bridge works, but not Photoshop.  I'm traveling and have internet but not the highest speed so each time I uninstall reinstall it takes awhile.  A couple of months back there was a software update from apple that people were saying didn't play well with photoshop so I didn't install it. I'm currently using Sonoma 14.1. 

Not sure what to do next. Thank you for any advice.
