P: AI Masks Require updating and/or disappear

Hello,

 

I recently had a call with Adobe support with no luck. I have found some threads on this but nothing presents a solution and it seems hard to find what the actual issue is.

 

If I edit a client gallery and use any healing brush tool or AI masking tool, the mask or healing brush/generative AI will get a red dot underneath after going back to the start of the gallery, my AI edits are gone....

 

I also noticed this happens 100% of the time when I quite and reopen lightroom, I can fix the mask, update ai settings but it just resets each time I open lightroom.

 

We tested a new catalogue, we tested a bunch of things with no luck. 

 

We really need a fix on this Adobe it is killing workflow, not sure what broke this setting. I can't revert to an old version because I have lots of photos (I do 1 catalogue per year) and can't go back weeks of client work.

 

Also this catalogue was started at the begining of 2025 so there is no version 13 of this catalogue to revert to and test.

 

PLEASE HELP ADOBE!

Very bad Update! Nothing fixed. Loupedeck ist now freezing, no Support. Its not possible to use ki mask with Louoedeck.

The update does not fix anything, please launch an update that actually fixes the problem. I don't need 57 minutes of AI setting updates when I didn't have the AI features turned on in the first place. Please remove the bloatware from your previously sufficient product and let the professionals use the product they paid for when they signed up. It's embarassing to tell people "gO tO hElP >uPdAtE" just for another version that doesn't work and loads on more heavy, underperforming features no one asked for.

All of my Adobe products are fully up to date including LrC now version 15.0 and I am now having this issue constantly, where as before I had the issue maybe like once every few months. Now AI remove simply does not save if I export an image or close LR.

I befürchte es ist eine absichtlich Beschränkung die mit der neuen Version von CameraRaw eingeführt wurde. downgraded man auf eine deutlich ältere LC Version mit dem alten CameraRaw funktioniert alles tadellos. 

Adobe hilft hier leider nicht. Auch meine Kontaktversuche verliefen leider frustran. Auch eigene Presets mit ki lassen sich nicht mehr per Loupedeckshortcut ansteuern.

Boa noite,

Alguém teve este tipo de problema com o lightroom Classic;

Faço os ajustes necessários nas fotografias e ficam gravados, mas se usar a ferramenta de remover a limpar alguma coisa, depois de limpar algumas fotografias, tudo que removi da/s fotografias volta novamente.

Já falei com o suporte, também remotamente, mas ficou na mesma.

Se alguém me conseguir ajudar, agradeço desde já.

I started having this issue the other day. Was trying to hold out on updating because Denoising was a VERY important part of my work flow but the masks being removed when going to the next issue is impossible to work with so I updated both Lightroom classic and made sure I was on the latest Mac OS and the issue persists. Did what was written in the comments and issue persists on top of now loosing being able to denoise mulitple issues while I sleep. After using lightroom for 15 years I know think I have to figure out something else. I cannot edit any of my current client work. 

I also do not use or have imagen to have that cause the issue. Please help!!!

I had been using Imagen AI's masks. I deleted the .lrcat-data file and that fixed it. Apparently Imagen have now resolved the underlying issue.
