P: brush cursors not working on 2011 Mac/MacBook Air (OS X 10.7.x Lion)

I'm running CS5 version 12.0.4 on a 2011 MacBook Air and the brushes do not work when resized between approx 300 - 650 in size. I don't know if this is a bug but the issue occurs in Lightroom as well. Please advise when an update will be issued to fix this. The software is pretty much useless to me with this issue affecting it.

A few people have luck working around it -- but it's a bug inside the video card driver, and Apple is working on a fix.

That's not Photoshop CS 5.1

None of all this. I 've really tried every option where possible and nothing helps.

Rich / Willy -

The only thing I can think of is that perhaps the 'shape dynamics' box is checked in the brush tool window?

Maybe?

I have the same problem on my iMac with OSX(Lion) 10.7.2 and Adobe Photoshop CS5.1(version 12.1). The problem also occurs in Adobe Lightroom. Nobody of the helpdesk from Adobe could help me. They said that Apple must fix this problem.

I like to use the full size brush tip cursor but on my new Mac Pro running Lion and CS5.5 (Photoshop 12.1) the full brush tip does not fill completely. This is with all brushes, eraser, clone tool etc. Even with hardness set to 100%, spacing to 1% and no brush tip shape selected. What am I doing wrong?

I have come across this thread looking for a fix to these frustrating cursor issues. Hopefully this will be resolved soon by apple.

I have noticed in Photoshop CS 5.5 that if I switch to 'precise' brush tip by pushing caps lock, use the brush for a couple of strokes, then switch back to the 'standard' by releasing the caps lock that the problem is resolved, and does not seem to return...?

Perhaps this can help some people get some work done while we wait for this fix.

I'm on a mac mini server with the intel HD 3000 and an intuos 4, 10.7.2

Apple is aware of the many bugs introduced they in MacOS 10.7, and is working to fix them.

And no version of Photoshop allows you to drag tools into the workspace.

And, again, we're all waiting on Apple to fix their bugs. Adobe cannot fix bugs in Apple's code.

I use photoshop CS5 trail version, with all updates from adobe site..... the preview of the brush size don't work correct... sometimes instead of the brush preview I see the move tool cursor... also the blend mode preview in the layer panel don't work correct... shift - brings me down, but shift + don't went up the list.... I miss the feature like in windows version, where I can scroll in the blend mode list by mouseweel..... when I use a tool for drawing, the cursor is crazy jumping on the workspace.... I also miss the feature where I can drag the most needed tools to my workspace from tool palette (thats not possible on mac, right?) ..... there are so many bugs in this version for OSX Lion, that a normal is not really possible.... hope Adobe is fix this soon...... I feel photoshop on windows works more handy on windows than on mac... many features I miss on mac...
