P: brush cursors not working on 2011 Mac/MacBook Air (OS X 10.7.x Lion)

I'm running CS5 version 12.0.4 on a 2011 MacBook Air and the brushes do not work when resized between approx 300 - 650 in size. I don't know if this is a bug but the issue occurs in Lightroom as well. Please advise when an update will be issued to fix this. The software is pretty much useless to me with this issue affecting it.

My default was "normal" and changing it did not help.

LR4 Beta still has the problem for me on my mid 2011 Mac Mini Server, running 10.7.2.

Here's what I have already done...
I uninstalled PSE 10 from the offending account, essentially eliminating PSE 10 from my machine entirely, along with the preferences. I then reinstalled PSE 10 on a NEW ADMIN ACCOUNT which I established fresh. This installed a new PSE 10 that is accessible by both accounts (the new one and the old one). I then tried the brushes in the new account and all worked perfectly. I then logged out and logged into the old account. When trying the brushes IN THE SAME PSE 10, they did NOT work on the old account. That tells me that there must be some interfering factor in my old account (perhaps another Adobe piece of software) which has many more pieces of software on it than the new account. That's all I know at this point. If I reset the preferences, should I perform that reset as the old admin or as the new admin?

When using the PSE 10 Preferences, there is no change whether I use a "Normal" brush or a "Full" brush. Both settings do not affect the problem. It's as if the PSE 10 Preferences are not working. There must be some other inhibiting factor.

Possibly. Have you tried just resetting the Elements preferences when signed into the affected user account? Instructions below:

On the advice of an Adobe support person on the chat line, I uninstalled PSE 10 and then created a new admin account on the iMac and re-installed PSE 10. Voila! The problem disappeared (in that new admin's window). Unfortunately, when I logged out as that new admin and logged in as myself, the problem still existed! That leads me to believe that there is something OTHER than the Mac OS 10.7.2 at work here. Perhaps some conflicting preferences in another Adobe application. I now have two accounts on the same machine where one account (the new one) works correctly and the other account (my normal one) works INcorrectly.
