Installed this and my tethered camera setup no longer works.  It appears to work as before, but no images are transferred.  Canon R1, Windows 11.  Anyone else having tethering issues?

Direct Capture in LR Classic 15.4 on Mac OS Tahoe 26.5,1 does not recognize Canon Powershot V1 anymore. It was working perfectly (and quickly) on the previous versions with Canon Powershot V1. Now it does not connect to the camera. Works as expected with Canon EOS R5 but I need it to work with the V1. I understand with release 15.4 LR is using the camera's native tethering capabilities and the V1 might not have one. Would it be possibile to add a legacy direct capture function for those of us with the same issue?

I am going to go ahead and write this up for the LrC team, although I cannot reproduce. Thanks for your report.

I turned on Use Canon SDK for Tethering… as per the notes in the LR support, and now it works.  So the issue must lie with the use of the new “Photo Transfer Protocol”

That is a good workaround and I will let the team know.

    LR 15.4, Windows 11, Canon R5mkii and Canon R1

Tethered capture has been working perfectly for me, until LR 15.4 installed yesterday.  Now what happens is Tethered Capture appears to work, the camera control bar appears, the camera can be fired from the PC, but the image is never transferred to the PC.

I tested a Canon R5 and a Canon 5DMKIV today, and both worked as expected in 15.4.

Just as a datapoint in case it’s helpful:

I had a shoot today for the first time with 15.4.1 - also Canon R5 which I’ve used with LRC tethering many times. Found a few issues - first off I have the camera set for dual write RAW on one card, JPG on the other.  Only the JPG was being sent over during the tether. This is something which I’ve seen occasionally before but was persistent today. Secondly, I was getting the PC FULL error as mentioned elsewhere here after maybe a dozen successful shots. Restarting the tether session gave me another handful of shots before failing again. After a few tries I gave up on the tether altogether and shot straight to card. I didn’t know about the fallback option for the Canon SDK so I didn’t try it :(
