P: Crashing During Sync

Lightroom 7.2 is crashing when syncing.  I have to stop syncing (it has about 9,000 synced images with 2,000 pending) to avoid crashing.  I deleted my entire syncd library and have been rebuilding it in batches.  The problem was there before 7.2 upgrade today but still it happens.  There are no sync errors.  It is very frustrating.  Please help.

Alan, Thomas, has there been any resolution to your sync issues? I've been experiencing similar problems w/ LR Classic CC since ver. 7.5.

Thanks for you feedback, I have been incontact with someone from Adobe directly but so far no luck with finding a solution and now I have anyway a much bigger problem because I am not able to upload a book to blurb and I am quite stressed about that .... but thats another thread. 😞

Thomas, since you have access to a prerelease program, use the prerelease forums to talk directly to the engineers so they can help figure out what's going wrong (and note that the NDA you signed means you shouldn't really be talking to about prerelease software in a public forum...)

Hi again,

I guess there no more hope that will can be fixed so I am not sure what to do. Without being able to sync to LR cc I cannot create any online collections etc. I am just finished with a big project and really happy that I managed to finish considering also the problems with the book module from another thread but actually I had the plan now since I am done with this work to create some collections for sharing etc but unfortunately I guess I have to forget about that.

The last weeks I really wished I had stayed with LR 4

Hi,

I have just tested the latest LR 8.1 built I was invited to test in order to solve the crashing during sync issue. Unfortunately it was exactly the same problem also with this version, LR crashed immediately when the sync was activated.


I have sent in the crash report with a comment that this was a test of the latest 8.1 version.


Thanks for looking into this but unfortunately it did not help.

Hi and thanks for inviting me to the beta testing program, perfectly fine to assist in finding a solution for this problem.

I have just installed the latest provided version but the problem was exactly the same, LR crashed immediately when the sync was activated.

I have submitted the crash report with a comment in it that it was from my test of the 8.1 beta

I could send you my email address dif you like or I can also right now submit a new crash report, it crashes immediately when I switch on the sync so just let me know

what do you mean by "email id" should I post my email address here?

the crash reports were sent automatically by LR after it crashes so I didnt need to specify any mail address, I assume it get it from my creative cloud account
