Ever since the V10 update my email out of LR Classic has quit working, but instead returns the above error message.  I have reset the preferences, deleted and readded my email client to no avail.  Still does not work and from the forum, it looks like there are lots of nil value errors happening.

Hmmm. Settings look good. I'd suggest starting a separate thread, as this doesn't appear to be the same issue, if it's not longer throwing that error message.

Hi Victoria,

I just deleted my account in the validation dialogue box and then entered the same details as a new account. Lightroom validated the account.

Jim, the settings look ok. Was that a new validation? If you set it up as a new account, does it validate?

Jim, see the SMTP settings on this page. They're not the same as you used in LrC. I also didn't see anything about app passwords for BT mail.

Thanks Jan, I cannot find where to generate this password in BT Mail. I do also note that Lightroom has validated my current email and password as depicted on the screenshot I attached to my previous post.

I'll keep trying and then contact BT.

Although past experience tells me that their response may be that Abobe made the change so Adobe need to fix the issue.

Any other BT mail user having the same problem?

Hi Victoria, I am on Windows 10. and using BT mail.

Prior to Adobes release of 10.1, I was getting exactly the same error message that many people reported. Since I upgraded to 10.1 the email function still doesnt work, but this time there is no error message, the application just fails to send the email. I have attached a screen shot of the email dialogue box just before I press the send button.

@jim_forsyth_gl0vi6v7buaw7 it is expected to be fixed, can you walk us through what's happening and what error messages you get, and on which OS please?

I too have updated to the latest lightroom version(10.1), however the problem is still there. I use BT mail here in the UK. Havent noticed Adobe claiming that they have fixed the issue with 10.1. Any seen such a claim from them?
