@Christina_Rieger8110, two possible workarounds:

- Roll back to LR 14.2 (known to work for everyone):
https://www.lightroomqueen.com/roll-back-update-previous/

- Manually download the ModelZoo folder that LR is failing to download (no reports yet whether this works for other than one person):

Is this issue still pending ? I also have the error message today (May 3rd). The probleme has still not been fixed ? I have no idea what I should do, I am stuck!!

Guys, the solution is to downgrade back to 14.2 ver. It works for me, my preset finally back to work just fine after countless of re-install, close, etc. :")

To all here who were facing the issues while pasting settings and applying presets, i have finally found a way out of this problem, just follow the below steps : 1. go to /Library/Application Support and check whether there is an folder named CameraRaw if not create one. 2. go to this address and download the Modelzoo folder https://pixeldrain.com/u/PbaU7q9S 3. unzip this folder (Adobe Lightroom Classic) and copy the ModelZoo folder from it and paste it into /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw Thats all, you're good to go. Hi everyone. This is my first post after reviewing the threads regarding this issue from October 2013. I am currently running v14.2 of LRC and have the following errors: Presets will not apply to images. (I always use Tiff files). When I click on a preset, that then initiates the 'Some masking models are downloading' window. The progress bar starts at 68% and once it has reached 100%, I then get the error message, 'Some masking models failed to download' in a red box at the top of the window. I have uninstalled and reinstalled LRC on my machine which is running Win10. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey, @martin_8495. Welcome to the Lightroom Classic Community. I'll help you figure this out. Please share the system info from Lightroom from Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

 

Instead of using the Preset, go to the Masking Panel & wait for it to finish. If that does not help:

1- Try connecting your device to a different internet source, like a mobile hotspot.

2 - Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom Classic and find Lightroom.exe.

3 - Right-click on Lightroom.exe and select 'Run as Administrator'.

4 - Wait for some time & then try using the masking tools again.
