Greetings all,

A new update for Lightroom Classic has been released.  The May 14.3.1 update contains an update for this issue.

If you do not see the update in your Creative Cloud Application, you can refresh it by hitting [Ctrl/Cmd]+[Alt/Opt]+[ R ].

Note: It may take up to 24 hours for your update to be available in your Creative Cloud app.

Thank you for being so patient.

edit to add: I have the Macbook Air 2022 model with the M2 chip, 16gb of memory and 512gb of storage -- so storage space isn't an issue.

My lightroom version is up to date. From yesterday I cannot do anything with applying the preset to the photos. Everytime I click the preset, it keeps showing" some masking tool fails to download,  please try again later."

I've already tried to reset the macbook, resign-in the adobe account, reinstall the lightroom, clear the cache, nothing works.

Anyone has an idea about what happened to my lightroom or my computer? After I tried everything I tend to believe maybe I need a new Macbook Pro……

Rolling back from LR 14.3 to 14.2 won't lose your presets, preferences, or edits (unless you've used the new Landscape AI masks or a camera newly supported in LR 14.3):

Hello,

Since updating to Lightroom Classic 14.3 on macOS, I consistently encounter the following error when copying and pasting develop settings between images:

"Some masking failed to download. Please try again later."

This issue occurs even when no masks are present in the source image, and only basic settings (exposure, contrast, tone) are being copied.

I have attempted the following troubleshooting steps without success:

- Removing all visible masks

- Resetting the source image

- Disabling GPU acceleration

- Manually clearing Lightroom caches

- Performing a clean reinstall of Lightroom Classic

Reverting to version 14.2 resolves the issue entirely, indicating that this is a bug introduced in version 14.3.

Please address this behavior in an upcoming update (14.4?) and advise if there is a more effective temporary workaround than downgrading and reimporting catalogs.

Best regards,

Olivier Martino

This red box pops up when I try to apply one of my presets. I've tried restarting Lightroom Classic multiple and still receiving the same issue.

update: I had to call adobe tech to assist. The only true fix right now is to go back and Install LR 14.2  and wait for 14.3 to come out with a fix.

Hello, I have a problem with the latest version 14.3 of Lightroom Classic. (on Mac OS Sequoia 15.4.1)I've read on various forums that it's a problem that's already been seen in previous versions, but I can't find any solutions. I've worked on a lot of presets, but now I can't apply them to any images, with the message "Download of some Masking models failed. Please try again later". Is this the case for you too? If anyone can help me, it would be a great pleasure. Many thanks in advance!

To all here who were facing the issues while pasting settings and applying presets, i have finally found a way out of this problem, just follow the below steps : 1. go to /Library/Application Support and check whether there is an folder named CameraRaw if not create one. 2. go to this address and download the Modelzoo folder https://pixeldrain.com/u/PbaU7q9S 3. unzip this folder (Adobe Lightroom Classic) and copy the ModelZoo folder from it and paste it into /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw Thats all, you're good to go. For any assistance text me on my instagram @withbaxit.

Guys, the solution is to downgrade back to 14.2 ver. It works for me, my preset finally back to work just fine after countless of re-install, close, etc. :")

Buenas tardes,

@andreapop.fotografia,

Two possible workarounds:

- Roll back to LR 14.2 (many report that works):
https://www.lightroomqueen.com/roll-back-update-previous/

- Manually download the ModelZoo folder that LR is failing to download (no reports yet whether this works for other than one person):

Hi Everyone,

I am unable to copy and paste/sync any edits and repeatedly get the message "Some masking models failed to download. Please try again later".  Even when I am not using a mask. I have restarted my computer and opened different catalogs. Would appreciate any help!
