P: Hanging, requires force quit

There are a few other discussions where this issue is being reported but i believe they have other issues clouding the discussion

Since the update to .3 and subsequently 3.1 Lightroom Classic CC hangs after being idle for a time (i can;t be specific on time as it seem to change). It does not happen necessarily on sleeping from the computer or in one module or another or when changing windows or minimizing or maximizing

It hangs and i am forced to "end task" through Task Manager

I am on a completely up to date (drivers and software and Windows) Win 10 Pro 64 system with 128gb RAM and plenty of horsepower and disk space (NVME and SSD)

My system has no problems with any other programs

please fix this

No, not you, Aaron--you're not shill.  I'm talking about those who, as you said, "attacked" *you* when you simply raised the topic.  That is typical shill behavior.

Like I said before Aaron, you can see this behavior in many forums, not just Adobe.  Watch for it.  You can aways notice this when anyone raises an issue and they come out of the woodworks and try to deflect attention from the real issue.

It's like Han Solo said: "Must have hit pretty close to the mark to get her all riled up like that, huh, kid?"  Haha.

i started the topic...i am no shill...i was lambasted when i first posted the issue... you call out "attacking" and you are the one throwing slander around

you are upset, i get it, i dont like not having the new features either, and i dont like not being communicated with nor having a proper means of customer service for troubleshooting... but i am still able to work every day with 7.2

not helping the situation get better when offered to isonly a vindictive behavior and only denies your own desire for a fix to be had

roll back and offer to help... or dont and stop complaining as if they are stealing money from you, they arent...they may have a poor roll out and troubleshooting system in place, but they are obviously working on it as you even prove...

Capture One has lots of wonderful users and it is a pretty good program IMO, consider quitting ADobe and going to it if all of this is too much...there is nothign wrong with that... but complaining and not doing anything about it, whether in rolling back, helping to fix it, or moving on to another program is all on you for your own well being

i started the whole thread and topic...if i was a shill why would i do that?  ANd i am not, i am just trying to deal with it, which Adobe does rather easily with their ability to easily use past versions.

Sarcasm, JC. They monitor all the forums.  They will of course *say* that they don't. You can aways notice this when anyone raises an issue and they come out of the woodworks and try to deflect attention from the real issue.

Those people who ATTACK are almost always Adobe shills under the guise of a regular form member... not always, but most often.  You can aways notice this when anyone raises an issue and they come out of the woodworks and try to deflect attention from the real issue.

As for my being vindictive, I disagree.  I do, however, agree that I will not help them do their work.  I will not help them in that way, not because I don't care or dislike them, but simply that I do not have the time or inclination to work through a beta release and provide them with R&D research.  If someone else wants to do that all the while *paying* Adobe, fine.  I will not, though.  I don't even want to be typing in this forum--but I will continue to do so and will call out the problems when they are severe.

Let's be clear here:  we're not talking about the sluggishness of applying a gradient or something small.  We are talking about the functionality of the program at the most basic level.

The program hangs and is then not usable and this has been an ongoing issue for quite a while.  It is obviously not a priority for them to fix the problem--or if it is and they cannot get it worked out, then Adobe needs new devs.  Therefore, in this situation, the program not usable--in other words, its' unusable.

The fact that I don't want to spend my time with their beta is not vindictive but it is not helpful--yes, I'm ok with that.  As I said, I'm not interested in helping them because I don't need to be patient and I don't need to roll back.  I'll simply continue to use Capture One Pro until they fix it.  I'm not in a rush as this program is working fine for my needs but I'll be glad if they ever get it worked out.  We shall see.
