P: Issue with Map module in OS X 10.10 (Yosemite)

On OS X 10.10 (Yosemite), the map in Lightroom's Map module is very slow to load. It takes several minutes before the first part of the map appears, and some parts don't load at all, saying instead "Sorry, we have no imagery here", even though the part in question is on Google Maps. When zooming in or out, it's the same, it takes very long to update.

Thanks. We've reviewed this issue with our support folks so they can provide the correct guidance (based on Ben's explanation).

I was not suggesting, neither is it what I said that the whole forum article was 'rubish' - I was referring specifically to the LRMaps issue being related to the '_' in the user name. I complimented Benjamin Warde for his detailed explanation of what was going on.

No, the problem discussed here has nothing to do with your user name. You may have had a different problem, or the technical support people were confused.

While the information here is not complete (because we cannot discuss all the details where third parties are involved), it is far from "rubbish".
Or did you mean just Jose's Technical Support response?

Anyway, we are continuing to work with Apple to get this addressed as soon as possible. When we have permission to reveal more information, we will update this topic with the details.

This information from Adobe support is rubbish. There is a detailed reason in this Blog by Benjamin Warde (Adobe tech guy) as to why the LR maps module does not work.

The LR maps module do not work. Contact Adobe Technical Support tells me that the problem is in the name of my user account on my computer (Mac OS X 10.10.1), namely the existence of an underscore "_" in the name, indicating that I must rename my account. Changing the account name (performed by the technical service Apple) the problem is compounded because Creative Cloud does not recognize the account, no syncing or requesting permission.
I returned to my old account, since I prefer the LR module maps not work that all of the LR and PS programs gone.
I hope you find a solution, because the "_" symbol is accepted by all the programs I know, it is even recommended by some of them as a separator to preferentially use.

Unfortunately, we can't discuss specifics with partner compatibility issues. Rest assured we're working with our partners to try and find a solution. We appreciate your patience.

Agree with Michael in the previous post - Adobe has been evasive about this issue when it did not need to be. The positive aspect to this is knowing that our data is not actually being mined.
Sorry to be so mean but Ben's explanation should have been posted ages ago and I feel we Mac users who have the Map problem have been treated with disdain.

Ben, it would be appreciated if updates on searching for the fix could be more forthcoming from now on.
