@madmanchan Great news! Thanks for the effort. Let me know if you need a couple more sample pictures.

Hello everyone, we believe we have identified and fixed the issue.

To help confirm the fix, however, I would like to obtain some sample NEFs from the contributors in this thread. If you are experiencing the problem where Lightroom / Camera Raw / DNG Converter cannot read some of your Nikon Z 5 NEF files, could you please post a file? You can either post a download link or send me a direct message.

Thanks for you help and patience.

I ran into this problem as well. I'm glad Adobe is working on it - I just hope it is as quickly as they can. There are more and more 3rd party lenses becoming available for the Z line and without RAW support in Lightroom those lenses become far less valuable.

Any progress on this problem?

That is a pretty good analogy! I totally get that these things do take time and appreciate the effort that goes on to fix them. Spending long hours in research labs myself have definitely taught that to me 🙂

@Pratik Goswami:  Takes time to do things.  There once was a definition of Crash Project  used in a lecture at one of the Research Labs. The speaker said that "a crash project is like having nine women become pregnant at the same time in order to have a baby in one month."
