Hello everyone, we believe we have identified and fixed the issue.

To help confirm the fix, however, I would like to obtain some sample NEFs from the contributors in this thread. If you are experiencing the problem where Lightroom / Camera Raw / DNG Converter cannot read some of your Nikon Z 5 NEF files, could you please post a file? I ran into this problem as well. I'm glad Adobe is working on it - I just hope it is as quickly as they can. There are more and more 3rd party lenses becoming available for the Z line and without RAW support in Lightroom those lenses become far less valuable.

Any progress on this problem?

@Pratik Goswami:  Takes time to do things.  There once was a definition of Crash Project  used in a lecture at one of the Research Labs. The speaker said that "a crash project is like having nine women become pregnant at the same time in order to have a baby in one month."
