P: LR4 doesn't display point curve adjustments made in LR3

After updating from LR3, LR4 has reset my tone curves. I use custom tone curves on almost every picture, and all my contrast treatments this way seem to have gone. Initially the previews were still the old ones, so I only noticed after opening several pictures in the develop module, just to see my meticulous tone curve adjustments be removed.

Is anyone else seeing this?

I am very interested in this script, too. I don't use LR4 without this issue solved.

I would like to have the script. How can I get it if there isn't enough interest for you to post on tech support?

Please provide a link to the tech support pages.

Tom,
Does any of this apply to brand new users to LR 4 who previously applied tone curves using RAW 6.6 or earlier? I just bought LR 3 in Feb. and was upgraded to LR 4 but have not set up anything just yet. I installed LR4 and am in the processing configuring it. I don't want to screw up the thousands of files I have in Bridge when I set up LR4 and transfer them for the first time. Should I wait until a fix is out?

Tom,

What about the issue with Linear (Raws) and Medium (JPGEs) curve settings not being restored by the script, which Dorin reported a few posts above? I experienced the same problem and also reported it.

Very interested here as well - if not the corrective script, some process/procedure to at least identify affected images would be very helpful.

Good news, thanks Tom. I would also like instructions for the manual catalog correction. Given the number of people upgrading, I think it's safe to assume that there will be sufficient interest!

Cheers,
Scott

Thanks for everyone's patience. Here's the latest update:
1. The script appears to be working properly and I'd like to thank those who tested it on their own catalogs.

2. The script is only intended to restore the point tone curve as applied in PV2010. There is some confusion over how a tone curve migrates from PV2010 to PV2012 and I'm working on a blog post to explain the change in terminology and visual appearance of the curve.

3. In our next update we will have corrected the catalog upgrade process so that this doesn't happen to future upgrades from Lightroom 3 to Lightroom 4. We're also working on a solution that will automatically "heal" any existing catalogs that have already been upgraded from Lightroom 3 to Lightroom 4.(No need to download or run a script, it will be built directly into Lightroom 4)

4. I do not have a time frame for the updates mentioned above so if there is sufficient interest I will attempt to make the script and instructions for manual catalog correction available via our tech support pages as quickly as possible.

Regards,
Tom Hogarty
