P: LR4 doesn't display point curve adjustments made in LR3

After updating from LR3, LR4 has reset my tone curves. I use custom tone curves on almost every picture, and all my contrast treatments this way seem to have gone. Initially the previews were still the old ones, so I only noticed after opening several pictures in the develop module, just to see my meticulous tone curve adjustments be removed.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Most likely not destroyed, just not available after upgrade.

Give them time to test internally and with the people that have volunteered to test the fix. I'm sure they'll release it when they're confident that it's working properly.

Yes Chris. I am also very frustrated. I use the point curve on most of my photographic art. Lightroom 4 has destroyed dozens of my best art.

Tom, is there any update on this please? The last update was 4 days ago.

Update: That is for raw files. For Jpegs, it's the Medium that escapes restoring.

Just run the script on a test LR3 catalog that had 4 images with different curve settings: Normal, Linear, Strong and Custom.

POSITIVE:
1. The script will correctly update Strong and Custom. Will leave Normal alone, as it should.

NEGATIVE:
1. The script will not update Linear.
2. The script will not update any image that has already been touched in LR4 Develop or Quick Develop, even if not updated to 2012.

So, there's room for improvement.

Yeah, you're right. In the final version even I would appreciate a more convenient version - and I am a techie 😉

Good...so I suggest to wait you until Adobe will release LR4.1.

I'am not looking for a script. What I want is a tool that works fine and is downward compatible with LR3.

Dorin, the pdf just describes where to load the .lua-file from and where to create a folder called "scripts" in which to copy it into. Then some screenshots how you will find an extra menu on restarting LR, from which to invoke the script execution.
