P: LR4 doesn't display point curve adjustments made in LR3

After updating from LR3, LR4 has reset my tone curves. I use custom tone curves on almost every picture, and all my contrast treatments this way seem to have gone. Initially the previews were still the old ones, so I only noticed after opening several pictures in the develop module, just to see my meticulous tone curve adjustments be removed.

Is anyone else seeing this?

I really like to run this script but only get the error message below when I click the link to download the file. Does anyone know why this happens?

Error (404)

This bug is especially insidious. The previews and icons appear correct in LR4 after import from LR3. The absence of the tone curve is not obvious until the preview is recreated by entering the Develop module or until the image is exported or printed. As a result, I was tricked into editing a number of images to correct them when I found they suddenly went flat when the tone curve was lost.

Fortunately, the script works well, even those images that had curves applied and updated to the new the new process version were handled well. (FYI, I always with changes to the XMP file associated with each image.)

It appears to me that the script restores the original point curve at the correct point in the metadata history. As a result the edits made to correct the mangled curve and to apply the new process version still are applied and the image displayed after running the script is the image as you last edited it in LR4.

The good part is that it is now possible to click on a past history item and see the image exactly as it appeared in LR3. At that point I was able to do a before/after comparison to see which version I wanted to keep. So far, I'm keeping the Process 2012 version.

Tom--

I purchased the LR4 upgrade on day one. But I have been waiting and waiting -- holding off using LR4 until the tone curve problem is fixed (I used them a great deal in LR3). If you have no time frame of the next LR4 update, can you please send me or make available the script and directions? I'd like to start using LR4 now, please.

Thanks.

I paid a product I can't use for almost three weeks now. I think that is really enough time for a proper hotfix.

That script is ten days old, too.

Compared to online multiplayer games, for example, Adobe should be able to publish hotfixes to critical bugs as fast as those games are (normally ~one week).

Even my clients expect a fix within a few days or a week if I do a fault. They don't even care about weekends or normal work times if they can't produce.

And I don't need any discounts on further Adobe products. I just need the product I paid for and a product which should be working NOW!
