P: LrC 15.6: Sliders bouncing in the Develop module

Lightroom was working perfectly this morning.. I come to load in new images and edit some while sitting here.. and as soon as Lightroom opened up - I tried to slide exposure (and other ones to test those...) and the slider immediately jumps one way or another.

I have reset preferences, turned off GPU.. NOTHING is helping.. please help me!

Hi All! Note from the team:

“On macOS Tahoe 26.3 or earlier, if the Develop module sliders move erratically after upgrading to Lightroom Classic 15.6, update to the latest Tahoe version (26.7, or later).”

    Thanks!

Thanks - updating the OS to the latest has resolved my sliders snapping left issue. Obvious to check really now I think about it. Will put that down to experience. Thanks once again.

Lightroom Classic. Trying to grab a slider results in the slider snapping to the left - have tried clearing Lightroom Classic cache with no success - this only happens on my Mac mini M4 but is fine on MacBook Pro M1, same 15.6 release.

Regarding LrC, in Develop mode the adjustment sliders are not responding appropriately. They slide all the way to the left and are not easily sliding where we manually want them. You can enter a value but this is not efficient.

    Hi, thanks for reaching out.

Please go to the Help menu in Lightroom Classic, then System Info, and copy the text. You can share the info with us by either pasting it as a reply here or in a text file and sharing the file with us.

You can try to reset the preferences of Lightroom using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/4eKRyAN

    Thanks,

    @jeyjey2707 Any solution for Windows?

The other reports about these symptoms have been for Mac, with a clean workaround identified (updating to the latest Mac OS). I haven’t seen any other reports about these symptoms occurring on Windows.

I recommend you start a new thread, describing in detail what you’re seeing. It would be best if you could attach a short screen recording of the entire LR window showing the misbehavior:

    Windows Snipping Tool: https://www.descript.com/blog/article/how-to-screen-record-on-windows

    Mac Quicktime Player: https://support.apple.com/guide/quicktime-player/record-your-screen-qtp97b08e666/mac

To keep the recording small, make the LR window as small as possible, and tell the tool to record just the window.

This issue was reported by several users. Update MacOS to 26.7.1 (or later) should be solved the issue.

LRC問題Lightroom Classic 15.6 – All sliders jump to far left when clicked; handle doesn't follow the mouse cursor
    Hi everyone,
I'm having trouble controlling the sliders in Lightroom Classic. When I click on any slider, its value immediately jumps to the far left, and the slider handle does not stay at the position of the mouse cursor. This happens with all sliders in all panels. As a result, I can't set precise values, as shown in this video: https://youtube.com/shorts/xzsw9RcSnSA

    System information:
    - Lightroom Classic: 15.6
    - Mac: MacBook Pro 16-inch (Nov 2023)
    - Chip: Apple M3 Max - Memory: 48 GB
    - macOS: Tahoe 26.0.1
    - Input device: Mouse only (no trackpad or drawing tablet in use)

    What I observe:
    - After clicking a slider, the value jumps to the far left instead of staying where I clicked
    - The handle is not located under the mouse cursor
    - This happens with all sliders
    - The problem started about a month ago. It did not begin after an update to Lightroom or macOS, as I had not updated for some time before it started.

What I've tried (none of these helped):
    - Tried several different mice, with the same result
    - Turned off "Use Graphics Processor" in Preferences > Performance
    - Reset Lightroom Classic preferences

    Video:https://youtube.com/shorts/xzsw9RcSnSA
as anyone experienced this, and is there a fix or workaround? Thank you!
