Lightroom was working perfectly this morning.. I come to load in new images and edit some while sitting here.. and as soon as Lightroom opened up - I tried to slide exposure (and other ones to test those...) and the slider immediately jumps one way or another.

I have reset preferences, turned off GPU.. NOTHING is helping.. please help me!

This is happening to me as well. I’m editing on a MacBook Pro. The sliders will automatically got to the extreme on either side depending on if you click left or right. I’ve tried with the wireless trackpad, the trackpad being wired, and the trackpad on the actual MacBook. I’ve also tried with catalogs on an external SD and a catalog on my computer’s internal storage. The error started happening after the update to 15.6.

Just to add a data point.  I am using 15.6 on Win11.  Sliders work fine with Wacom tablet and Logitech mouse (Unifying USB connector).

Had the same issue. Just had to go back to 15.1 and it works now for me.

@CO34177782qfd9 Please provide the information requested. Also, try a different mouse, as stated earlier in this thread.

There have been other reports of sliders not staying where you put them, and it immediately moves to somewhere else. I haven’t read of any solutions.

As a wild guess, if your mouse is wireless, try a wired mouse.

I am hoping this just happened with a recent update and that Lightroom will fix it!! I edit on my laptop - so I use a trackpad. I tested the same motion on other things on my computer and it works perfectly everywhere except Lightroom….

Can you temporarily use a wired mouse (or even a wireless mouse) with your laptop (instead of the track pad) to see if the problem goes away?

Are you talking about Lightroom (Lr icon) or Lightroom Classic (LrC icon)?

Hey, @stephanieh54345612. Welcome to the Lightroom Classic Community. I'll need more information about your workflow to help you. Please share the system info from Lightroom Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload & attach here.

Where do you keep the Lightroom Catalog and RAW files? Internal, or external drive?

Please share more details, such as screenshots or a video showcasing the error/behavior.

    Awaiting hearing from you. Thanks!
