P: LrC 15.6: Sliders bouncing in the Develop module

Lightroom was working perfectly this morning.. I come to load in new images and edit some while sitting here.. and as soon as Lightroom opened up - I tried to slide exposure (and other ones to test those...) and the slider immediately jumps one way or another.

I have reset preferences, turned off GPU.. NOTHING is helping.. please help me!

Hi All! Note from the team:

“On macOS Tahoe 26.3 or earlier, if the Develop module sliders move erratically after upgrading to Lightroom Classic 15.6, update to the latest Tahoe version (26.7, or later).”

    Thanks!

You haven’t said which OS you use, but I bet it is MacOS Tahoe and its version is 26.3 or lower. If so, then update MacOS to 26.7.1 and your problem will be over.

    Hi, thanks for reaching out!

Please go to the Help menu in Lightroom, then System Info, and copy the text. You can share the info with us by either pasting it as a reply here or in a text file and sharing the file with us.

You can try resetting the preferences of Lightroom using the steps here: https://adobe.ly/4B8bmrz

Though the steps are for Lightroom Classic, the keyboard shortcuts should work for Lightroom Desktop as well.

    Thanks,
    Nikunj

In the edit options, for example, when I tap on exposure, the cursor goes to the dead end. It is acting the same way for every edit option.

@chadz17926 I'm having the same issue using 15.6 and Tahoe 26.3.1.

See the pinned reply at the top of this thread for a straightforward fix to the problem.

This appears to be a known bug in Lightroom Classic 15.6 on macOS Tahoe 26.0 to 26.3; revert Lightroom Classic to version 15.5.1 and disable renewal in Creative Cloud for the sliders to function correctly again.

I hope there is a solution because you are right, this is making normal editing nearly impossible.
