P: LrC 15.6: Sliders bouncing in the Develop module

Lightroom was working perfectly this morning.. I come to load in new images and edit some while sitting here.. and as soon as Lightroom opened up - I tried to slide exposure (and other ones to test those...) and the slider immediately jumps one way or another.

I have reset preferences, turned off GPU.. NOTHING is helping.. please help me!

Hi All! Note from the team:

“On macOS Tahoe 26.3 or earlier, if the Develop module sliders move erratically after upgrading to Lightroom Classic 15.6, update to the latest Tahoe version (26.7, or later).”

    Thanks!

    Hi @FATMA INDHIRA268996591feb,

Thanks for reporting this. I’d like to understand the behavior a little better, as Lightroom is available across several platforms, and the details provided so far aren’t enough for us to determine exactly what is happening.

    Could you please share:

    • Which Lightroom app you’re using: Lightroom Desktop, Lightroom Classic, Lightroom for iOS/iPadOS, or Lightroom for Android.
    • The Lightroom version and your operating system/device model.
    • A short screen recording showing what happens to the Exposure, Contrast, Saturation, or other sliders when you make an adjustment.
    • Whether the sliders move/reset by themselves after you adjust them, or whether they jump in the wrong direction while you’re trying to move them.
    • Whether this happens with every photo or only certain photos.
    • Whether you have applied a preset to the photo before this happens.
    • If you’re using an iPad, whether this occurs during normal editing or while using Tethered Capture with a connected camera.

If you’re using Lightroom Desktop or Lightroom Classic, please also go to Help > System Info, copy the information, and paste it into your reply.

Once we can see the exact workflow and platform, we should be able to narrow this down and determine whether it matches an issue already being investigated.

    Best,

Update MacOS to 26.7.1 (or MacOS 27). That makes more sense than downgrading Lightroom Classic and running an old version of MacOS. It’s also the official advice from Adobe.

Develop sliders jumped to the wrong position when clicked moved way over to the left, on macOS 26.2 with a Magic Trackpad on an iMac. Say it was fixed by rolling back

P: Lightroom Classic 15.6 – Develop sliders jump to minimum value when clicked

Since updating to Lightroom Classic 15.6, every Develop module slider jumps to its far-left (minimum) value as soon as I click it. When I try to make a small adjustment, such as raising Exposure slightly, the slider snaps all the way to the most negative setting.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Open any photo in the Develop module.
    2. Click and drag any slider (Exposure, Contrast, Highlights, Shadows, etc.).
    3. The slider immediately jumps to its minimum value instead of moving from its current position.

Expected: The slider moves smoothly from its current value.
Actual: The slider jumps to the far-left minimum on click.

    Notes:
    - This started immediately after updating to 15.6. Sliders worked normally before the update.
    - Typing values directly into the number field works correctly.
    - This affects all Develop sliders, which makes normal editing impossible.

    System:
    - Lightroom Classic 15.6
    - OS: [macOS/Windows + version]
    - Computer: [model]

I edit professionally, and this bug is significantly slowing down my client work. Please prioritize a fix, and let me know if you need a screen recording or system info file.

Unfortunately you haven't given us any information about your system. Therefore, all proposed solutions are a little bit of guesswork.

Is your system up-to-date? Do you have installed all recent updates and patches for the operating system and the device drivers, especially the graphic driver. Please make also sure that you have installed the Studio version and not the Game Ready version of your NVidia driver.

Please provide a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the Lightroom menu item Help > System Info. There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into your next forum pos

Try a reset of Lightroom’s preferences:  How to reset Lightroom Classic preferences (adobe.com)

It's recommended to backup the preferences before you reset the preferences to the default settings:

    slider not working properly and

Your video shows Lightroom Classic's Develop module on a monitor. The photo preview stays completely white, even when you change Temp, Exposure (down to -2.30), Highlights and Whites. The histogram and slider values do change, so the edits register, but the image never updates.

"In Lightroom Classic (Develop module), my photo preview shows as completely white/blank. When I move sliders like Temp, Exposure, Highlights and Whites, the values and histogram change, but the image on screen doesn't change. The photo is ISO 1600, 35mm, f/4.0, 1/80s. Is this a GPU/graphics acceleration issue, a display problem, or something else? How do I fix it?"
