P: LrC 15.6: Sliders bouncing in the Develop module

Lightroom was working perfectly this morning.. I come to load in new images and edit some while sitting here.. and as soon as Lightroom opened up - I tried to slide exposure (and other ones to test those...) and the slider immediately jumps one way or another.

I have reset preferences, turned off GPU.. NOTHING is helping.. please help me!

Hi All! Note from the team:

“On macOS Tahoe 26.3 or earlier, if the Develop module sliders move erratically after upgrading to Lightroom Classic 15.6, update to the latest Tahoe version (26.7, or later).”

    Thanks!

Same here. It just broke startiong today. Sliding any of the sliders jumps over to the edge. This is incredibly annoying and making Lightroom unusable.

It only affects sliders. Other dragging (cropping, tone curve) works fine.

    What doesn’t fix it:

    Turning off GPU
    Restaring Lightroom
    Restarting the computer
    Resetting preferences

    Macos Tahoe 26.3

Rolling back one version solves the problem, so likely an issue with the latest update

I’m having the same problem. Worked fine a few days ago, now when I loaded new photos the sliders jump all the way to the left. Very frustrating! What’s going on?

Also when I loaded new photos the date didn’t show on the individual folders, just a 0.

I’m having the same problem with LR 15.6 and Mac  with Apple M2 Pro. It worked fine last week, now suddenly the sliders are going to the far left edge when I try to maneuver them. Sometimes they won’t work at all but remain stuck on the left side.

This exact problem is being investigated as a bug.

After updating Lightroom Classic to version 15.6, all Develop module sliders jump to incorrect values when I click and drag them.

For example, when I try to increase Exposure to approximately +1.00, the slider immediately jumps to a completely incorrect value, sometimes around -4 or another unexpected position.

The same problem occurs with Exposure, Contrast, Highlights, Shadows and other Develop sliders.

Directly typing the numerical value into the field works correctly. The problem occurs specifically when dragging the slider with the mouse.

I tested a different mouse and the problem remained.

I reset Lightroom Classic Preferences and the problem remained.

I also tested a completely new Lightroom Classic catalog and the problem still occurs.

I also tested with GPU display acceleration disabled, but the problem remained.

The problem started after updating to Lightroom Classic 15.6. Before the update, the sliders worked normally.

    System:

    Mac with Apple M2 Pro

    Lightroom Classic 15.6

    macOS

Please investigate this as a possible slider interaction bug in Lightroom Classic 15.6.

Same problem, until they fix it you can use the value number of the slider by clicking and drag left or right

I can change the value numbers, but only manually … up and down arrows will work to change value, but clicking and dragging the slider left or right does not work on my Macbook Pro
